At first glance, it’s just a grid of fridge magnets, but we saw [so much] more. For this photo gifting startup, we built a brand around memory-keeping, turning digital moments into tangible joy.

The result? A strategy that transformed simple products into keepsakes customers collect, cherish, and return for again and again.

Positioning the brand

We wanted to position this company as the go-to brand for memory-keeping. How did we do it? We went beyond just fridge magnets, making it about turning moments into tangible joy. Now customers aren’t just buying a product, but curating their life’s most cherished memories.

We knew we needed to highlight the emotional points Memogrid’s products cater to. Then, we bridged their USPs to their target customers’ pain points. This meant ensuring their benefits were fine-tuned so they can resonate with their audience.

Establishing a brand persona

Their ‘coolest aunt’ brand persona came from the feeling we knew would hit home for their ICPs: warm, friendly, and comforting. It has that positive tone that makes you feel like anything is possible – and that’s a vibe that brings everyone together [like a photo grid].

Expressive typography

We chose a serif font like Orelega One because it has a warm, approachable and friendly feel. These emotions were exactly what we wanted to help Memogrids convey with their new brand identity – especially alongside the warm sunset palette.

Bespoke illustrations

Our designers also created bespoke illustrations for Memogrids to use throughout their active platforms and website. Our aim was for these illustrations to provide a starting brand asset library, giving them a visual to keep their brand’s new personality and presence consistent.

Strategic colour palette

Putting Memogrid’s brand in the best ‘light’ became literal. We landed on a sunrise aesthetic as their new palette, that [universally beautiful] moment that connects us all. Its colours convey depth and harmony. Our warmest memories tend to make us all feel the same way.
